Vision

Accessibility is the keyword in Medialog's dictionary.

Today, a sighted businessman with no mobile or PC is just like a visually impaired one with no Mobile Speak or PAC Mate.

Once both are well equipped, only competence will determine who is better in the field.

Therefore, Medialog explores all its energy in order to provide visually impaired people with the means they need to express their capacities through:

  • Supplying a vast range of products that allow visually impaired people to access the newest technologies
  • Focusing on its research department to keep going along with the latest findings
  • Signing partnerships with leading companies that develop products for visually impaired people
  • Covering every part of the Middle East and North African region through its large distributors channel in order to provide the newest technologies for all the languages written from right to left
  • Training concerned people to use its latest software and hardware
  • Offering the best technical support for its clients.
  • Consulting for organizations working for visually impaired people
  • Auditing of needs and projects studies

History

Becoming blind after having lost his sight at the age of 17 following the explosion of a car bomb in Beirut, Fouad Hassoun had the will to go on.

Yet, his will was only the first step. He had to go in quest for a place where he could express his capacities despite his new disability.

For that reason, he went in search for a bridge that would get him into the heart of active life. This bridge was accessible to him in Europe and it allowed him to reach the top by becoming the CEO of one of the best companies in this field.

After having acquired two university degrees and 15 years of experience in different companies such as "Unilog" and "Handialog", Fouad founded Medialog in Lebanon in 1996, as the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region deserved the same chance Europe gave him. Medialog, inspired by the achievement of its founder, signed in 2002 an exclusive partnership with "Freedom Scientific", the American world leader in the IT field for the visually impaired individuals.

For the last years, we expanded our collaboration to other companies such as Code Factory, Acapela and some other leaders in their respective fields.

Since May 2009, the company has grown up and besides our offices in Beirut, we have anew office in Paris. It allows us to be inside the market and catch the evolution and updates to always offer the best service to our clientele.

Always having in mind to propose a line of products as large as possible to blinds and low vision people.

The Medialog team gathered behind Fouad Hassoun have the will to offer to the visually impaired people the means so they could be integrated in the active life just like everyone else.

Today, Medialog constitutes the bridge for every visually impaired citizen in the MENA region towards enjoying a successful normal life.

The team he gathered made the visually impaired people lucky to be in a place where they could be integrated in the active life just like everyone else.

Today Medialog constitutes the bridge for every visually impaired citizen in the MENA region towards enjoying a successful normal life.

Thanks to Medialog, the world became a touch away.
